Anna Kravtchenko

In 1992, Anna Kravtchenko was awarded first prize and prize of the public at the International “ Feruccio Busoni”piano competition (the first prize hadn’t been awarded in the five previous years). Harold C. Schonberg, who was a member of a jury, writes in “The New York Times Magazine”: ”Her radiant sound and poetical interpretations could sometimes reduce the audience to tears”.

Anna has performed at some of Europe’s most important halls and events: Berlin Philarmonic Hall, Musikverein Big Hall in Vienna, Amsterdam Concertgebouw’s “Meesterpianisten serie”, Brescia e Bergamo Festival, Herkulessaal in Munich, Ruhr Klavier-Festival, la Salle Gaveau di Parigi, Tonhalle di Zurich, La Roque D’Antheron Festival , Wigmore Hall in London, Victoria Hall in Geneve, Festival “Piano Aux Jacobins” in Toulouse, Bergen Festival etc.She also toured Japan, USA, Canada and South Africa.

Anna has appeared as soloist with the Berlin Rias Symphony Orchestra,the RAI Symphony Orchestra and London Philharmonic,the Israel Chamber Orchestra,the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Die Deutsche Kammerphiharmonie Bremen, the Bavarian Radio Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra,the English Chamber Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Noord Nederland Orchestra, the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra etc.

Since 2006 she has released two CDs on the DECCA label with music of Chopin and Liszt.

Her last DECCA CD of all-Liszt recital received highest raitings in all main Italian music magazines including Amadeus(5/5),Classic Voice (5/5 and CD of the month),Musica (5/5), Classic Voice (5/5 and best CD of the month).

In 2010, Deutsche Grammophon has selected four recordings to insert them in the casket of Anna “Big Classic” and “Classic Gold” published in May 2010.

Born in 1976, Anna began to study the piano at the age of five.She studied with Maestro Leonid Margarius at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale of Imola, Italy, where she was admitted “Ad Honorem”.

Since 2013 she has been teaching at Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana.
