He went on to study at the Conservatoire de Nice and at the Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique (CNSM) in Paris with Pierre Sancan and Jean Hubeau, and he perfected his skills under the guidance of Jean Fassina, G\u00e9za Anda, Lili Kraus, and Gy\u00f6rgy Seb\u00f6k. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Olivier Gardon has garnered numerous awards in prestigious international competitions, including the Marguerite Long competition (1973), the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition (1975), the Viotti International Music Competition, the Casella Piano Competition in Naples and Senigallia. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Since then, his career as a soloist and chamber musician has taken him to all the greatest musical venues of the world (the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-Elys\u00e9es, the Salle Pleyel, and the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Ch\u00e2telet in Paris, the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican Center in London, the Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, the Grosses Festspielhaus in Salzburg, the Bunka Keikan and the Kioi Hall in Tokyo, the Dvorak Hall in Prague, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Solis in Montevideo&#8230;). He has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchester, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Prague Chamber Orchestra and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Lille, under the baton of conductors such as Karl M\u00fcnchinger, Ferdinand Leitner, Pierre Dervaux, Uri Segal, Theodor Guschlbauer, Davis Shallon, Serge Baudo, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Jacques Mercier, Philippe Bender, Jean Pierre Wallez. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Olivier Gardon\u2019s discography includes works by Beethoven, Brahms, Liszt, Mussorgsky, Schumann, complete piano works by Vierne and complete chamber music by Alkan (Prix Sp\u00e9cial de la Nouvelle Acad\u00e9mie du disque fran\u00e7ais). In 2011, B\u00e4renreiter publishes the new urtext edition of Vierne&#8217;s piano Pr\u00e9ludes and Nocturnes revised by Mr. Gardon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Olivier Gardon has been teaching at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, and from this year he will be at \u00c9cole Normale de Musique. Previously he taught at the Hochschule Hannover (HMTMH), at Conservatoire Regional de Paris (CRR) and many universities (Seoul National University, Yonsei Seoul, Toho Gakuen Tokyo, Mozarteum Salzburg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He is regularly invited to teach master-classes in France, Austria, Germany, Japan, S Korea, Spain, US.
